How it's calculated (visible formula)
buy_m² = area × (1+waste); boxes = ceil(buy_m² ÷ m²/box)
- Net geometric measurement, no waste.
- Adjustable waste % for cuts and breakage.
- Purchase rounded up to sellable units (boxes, bags, buckets, boards).
Worked example: 25 m² room, 2 m² box
- 25 × 1.1 = 27.5 m²
- 27.5 ÷ 2 = 13.75
→ 14 boxes + 26.25 m² underlay.
Common mistakes
- Ordering exact m² with no full box.
- Forgetting underlay and transition profiles.
