Calculate labor, margin & tax

How it's calculated (visible formula)

weight = boards × length × width × kg/m² of the board type

See methodology and formula versions

How to calculate it, step by step

  1. Choose board type.
  2. Enter number of boards.
  3. Enter board length and width.
  4. Work out weight per board and total.
  5. Compare with vehicle payload or floor capacity.

Worked example: 20 regular ½ in boards, 4 × 8 ft

  1. ≈ 3 m² × 8.5 kg/m² ≈ 25.5 kg (56 lb) per board
  2. × 20 = 510 kg

→ About 1,120 lb total.
