How it's calculated (visible formula)
weight = boards × length × width × kg/m² of the board type
- Net geometric measurement, no waste.
- Adjustable waste % for cuts and breakage.
- Purchase rounded up to sellable units (boxes, bags, buckets, boards).
How to calculate it, step by step
- Choose board type.
- Enter number of boards.
- Enter board length and width.
- Work out weight per board and total.
- Compare with vehicle payload or floor capacity.
Worked example: 20 regular ½ in boards, 4 × 8 ft
- ≈ 3 m² × 8.5 kg/m² ≈ 25.5 kg (56 lb) per board
- × 20 = 510 kg
→ About 1,120 lb total.
